ANTONIA HIRSCH's 3-channel video installation, "Tacet (Anthems of the Member Nations of the North American Free Trade Agreement: Canada, United States of America, Mexican United States)" will be exhibited in the context of "It is what it is. Recent Acquisitions of New Canadian Art," November 5, 2010 - February 13, 2011 at the National Gallery of Canada.
The artist's film installation "Komma (after Dalton Trumbo's Johnny Got His Gun)" will be presented at Frieze Projects 2010 under the auspices of the Iasi, Romania-based Vector Association. A related book-length artist publication based on Dalton Trumbo’s novel "Johnny Got His Gun" is forthcoming from Fillip Editions with an accompanying text by Maria Muhle.
Antonia Hirsch is a contributor to issue 5 of "The Happy Hypocrite," a London, UK-based journal for and about experimental art writing edited by Maria Fusco. Issue 5, subtitled "What Am I?" was launched on June 24, 2010 at the Whitechapel Art Gallery, London.
The artist took part in the exhibition "Sorting Daemons: art, surveillance regimes and social control" at the Agnes Etherington Art Centre in Kingtson, ON, 16 January to 18 April 2010.
